Funding: Sponsored by Wilshire Grand Hotel, LA, auctioned by Sothebys at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in May 2001.
Details: The Los Angeles public art project "A Community of Angels" was initiated by the Volunteers of America and the Catholic Big Brothers to raise funds to support vital programs for youth. Developed in association with the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Volunteer Bureau of the Office of the Mayor, and sponsored by corporations, organizations, schools and individuals, the project showcases the work of hundreds of emerging and established artists.
